The Hong Kong & Macau International Academic Exchange Association (HKMIAEA) is honoured to co-organise the selection process for the 2026–2027 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau International Olympiad (GHMIO) International Finals, and to manage registration and examination administration for the Hong Kong and Macau preliminary round.

港澳國際學術交流協會（HKMIAEA）榮譽宣佈，本會將正式協辦 2026–2027 粵港澳大灣區國際奧林匹克競賽（Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau International Olympiad, GHMIO）國際總決賽之選拔工作，並全面負責港澳賽區之初賽報名與考務管理。

GHMIO is an internationally renowned academic competition platform that attracts tens of thousands of outstanding students each year from more than 12 countries and regions, including Bulgaria, Canada, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines. Overseen by an experienced international academic committee and chief judging experts, its international awards are highly regarded. Past award recipients have been welcomed by leading local and overseas institutions, making the competition a valuable opportunity to build an international academic portfolio.

作為享譽國際的頂尖學術競技平台，GHMIO 每年吸引來自全球超過 12 個國家及地區（包括保加利亞、加拿大、泰國、新加坡、菲律賓等）的數萬名菁英學生同台角逐。賽事經由國際資深學術委員會及首席評審專家嚴格把關，其頒發之國際獎項含金量極高，歷屆得獎者均深受本地及海外知名學府青睞，是學生建立國際化個人學術履歷（Portfolio）的黃金契機。

The Hong Kong and Macau preliminary round will use a rigorous online assessment format and apply unified global objective assessment standards to ensure fairness and authority.

本屆港澳賽區初賽將全面採用嚴謹的線上考核模式，嚴格執行全球統一的客觀評核標準，確保賽事的公平性與權威性。

Timed, closed-book online examinations using an international anti-cheating examination system to maintain a fair and secure environment.

線上定時閉卷考試，採用防作弊國際考務系統，確保應考環境公平安全。

Eligibility · 參賽對象

Students currently enrolled at primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions in Hong Kong and Macau, assessed by division.

全港澳大中小學校在讀學生，各組別分級評選。

Progression · 晉級機制

Outstanding preliminary-round participants will earn places at the GHMIO International Finals, joining an HKMIAEA-led delegation to compete with students from around the world for international honours.

於初賽中表現優異之菁英，將獲得由本會帶隊參與 GHMIO 國際總決賽的席位，與全球選手角逐國際榮譽。

Focuses on abstract reasoning, mathematical logic, spatial geometry, and innovative problem-solving, aligned with the highest international Olympiad assessment standards.

Covers fundamental science, inquiry-based problem analysis, and scientific thinking to develop outstanding students with the potential to drive future technological innovation.

The competition’s academic framework complements regular school curricula and provides objective international benchmarking, helping schools identify gifted students and strengthen their reputation and international academic standing. Group registration from primary and secondary schools is welcome.

To support school administration planning and accurate examination data coordination, the prospectus, detailed registration forms, and registration deadline will be released during November 2026.

為配合各校行政規劃並確保考務數據精準對接，本賽事之簡章、詳細報名表格及報名截止日期將於2026年11月期間發佈。

During November, our examination office will send dedicated invitations and complete group and individual registration guides to primary and secondary school principals, subject heads (Mathematics, Science, and English), and gifted-education coordinators by official email or postal mail.

本會考務處將於11月內，向各中小學校之校長、相關學科主任（數學組、科學組、英文組）及資優教育統籌老師，以官方電郵（Email）或實體郵寄公函（Postal Mail）方式，正式派發完整的專屬邀請函及集體／個人報名指南。
